Vehicles with improperly adjusted brakes and drivers that can’t adjust them can cause you to strand equipment at roadside checks and Ports of Entry. Every professional CDL driver needs to be able to correctly perform brake inspections and field adjustments. Drivers are morally,

professionally, and legally responsible for their vehicles and their safe operation. Yet all too often today, drivers become complacent and depend on their mechanics.

This course covers:

  • Brake system operation and components
  • Brake inspection
  • Brake wear surface inspection
  • Brake line inspection and condition evaluation
  • Brake system condensation removal
Upon completion of this training, drivers will have the confidence and skills to meet the requirement and be certified for brake inspection.
