Backing and close quarter maneuvering is an important skill for the professional driver, but is also a leading cause of accidents. There are certain techniques, learned behaviors, and habits that can be developed to assure that a driver can maneuver in reverse, tight spots, alley docks, and loading
docks. |

This course provides the driver the time and atmosphere to perfect the skills necessary to safely operate a vehicle in these conditions.
The course covers:
 Setting up to maneuver for backing, alley docks, and loading docks - Proper mirror setup
- Use of spotters
- When not to back up
- Vehicle handling
- Pup and trailer backing
- Straight truck and light vehicle backing
- Rules for backing and close quarter maneuvering
After the driver has seen the whole backing picture, learned the tips and tricks, and practiced in our backing yard, they will have the confidence to move their vehicle safely in tight quarters.
